Mediating Role of Difficulties in Emotion Regulation and Experiential Avoidance in the Relationship between Attachment Styles and Severity of Relationship Obsessive -compulsive Disorder Symptoms

Objectives Relationship obsessive-compulsive disorder (ROCD) is one of the forms Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, focusing on intimate relationships. Identifying mechanisms ROCD can significantly expand our knowledge factors related to its development and exacerbation. This study aims determine mediating role difficulties in emotion regulation experiential avoidance relationship between attachment styles severity symptoms. Methods Five hundred thirty-one participants (455 females 76 males) were selected using convenient sampling from general population Iran. They completed Experiences close relationships-revised (ECR-R), scale (DERS), acceptance action questionnaire-II (AAQ-II), Inventory (ROCI) online. SPSS software, version 22 AMOS 24 used analyze data. Results Attachment had a significant correlation with regulation, avoidance, symptoms (P<0.01). Moreover, two variables Conclusion predict directly indirectly by avoidance. Difficulties should be considered treatment symptoms, especially those insecure styles.
